Recent UB are strange: women who insist on swaddling their babies, even though the babies don't like it and kick out of it. Moms of 4.5 yos fretting over what to do when dc poops in the pullup, and moms of 2 yos on a mission to move dc to the next level by eliminating naps. Anybody NOT so EXTREME out there? i myself dont believe that some babies dont like swaddling. they all struggle when you put them in it, but it keeps them sleeping longer [ Reply | More

my dd hated swaddling from about 2 weeks, so we never swaddled her arms, and kept the rest of her loosely swaddled. she slept through the night (8 hours) from 7 weeks on. whatever works for you is the right way to do things. [ Reply | More

I cannot imagine sitting on UB schools board, or any board if I had an 8 wk old baby. I was just so taken by the experience. didn't get into this until dc was 4 yo. you really should go take care of yourself and your baby [ Reply | More

my oldest always kicked out of swaddle and then would wake up. (this was pre-miracle blanket- I so WISH this was around 8 yrs ago), I have a 4.10 yo who (knock on wood) just went thru a 9 mos period of pooping in his pants and it is very frustrating to deal with this type of thing...and I also had a dc in afternoon preschool who took one 20 minute nap a day when I signed him up and then when it was time to start attending decided suddenly at age 2.5 to take power naps the exact time of the school session.
