We're going on vacation and not telling our Landlord. Our house may get shown while we are away because he needs new renters. Would you lock up everything and if so would you use cardboard boxes taped or plastic crates taped?? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

The amount of paperwork is too big for a safety deposit box. We do have a lockable file cabinet but DH doesn't file everything right away [ Reply | More

PS - you sound a little shifty yourself for going on vacation and NOT telling your landlord. Check your lease...I think you have to give some sort of notice if your apt will be vacant for over a certain # of days. [ Reply | More
