what's the preschool situation like in nyc suburbs? it is crazy competitive like it is in brooklyn? or can you get in wherever you like? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it's much much less competitive than nyc. however timing is very important. You need to enroll as soon as enrollment is open. You'll most likely get in. But if you are shopping around in August you may not have any good options left. [ Reply | More ]

depends on the area, and depends on the school - we were on a year-long wait list for DS's preschool in Long Island, and were only able to get in when a child unexpectedly moved about a month into the school year. [ Reply | More ]
