Yes, but it is extremely uncommon in boys, unless there is an anatomical abnormality (which could be very minor). How long has it been going on? I would definitely ask ped about this. [ Reply | More ]

You need to call your ped about this. Recurrent UTIs are not great, and one could ascend and cause a kidney infection if untreated. It may be that he has a minor thing in that the ureters (that connect the kidney with the bladder) don't insert into the bladder properly, predisposing him to infections. It can be corrected and often doesn't require invasive surgery. [ Reply | More ]
