How do you get over an almost-accident? Meaning the resonating nausea that won't go away when something really bad almost happens to a dc, but doesn't (you catch them falling off a table, for example) I can't stop replaying these scenarios in my head and its debilitating. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Very rough. I can remember all these...infant falling off bed, nipping dd with nail clippers, an ember that flew up from a match and burned dd's thigh, and my ds, going under in the kiddie pool while my head was turned and he was scrambling underwater and couldn't get his footing. some were YEARS ago, some were recent and they all haunt you.
