just turned 2 yr old ds always slept great. now this week he keeps waking up 3-4 hours in screaming "No, NO, NO" and things like that. When we go in, he is awake in his crib, but out of it just sitting there. He will go back to sleep. Anyone ever go through this? Is it nightmares? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Sounds like night terrors. Not serious, despite the names. look them up on askdrsears.com [ Reply | More ]

Sooth him in his own bed, tuck him back in and leave when he feels safe. [ Reply | More ]

night terrors. Google it and read from the Berkley parents network. What worked for us was simply turning on the lights in the room. DC would sort of 'wake up' look around, lay back down and go right back to sleep [ Reply | More ]

My dd had night terrors when she wasn't getting enough sleep. Both dh and I were always shaken by them. Try putting dc to sleep a little earlier. [ Reply | More ]
