Was at a block party and there was a basketball hoop. There was a man playing with his wife and small child. DD ran over because she wanted to play too (she is 2) and I went over to get her out of the way. While I am collecting her, the man shoots a basket and it hits my back! I am pregnant too! The guy basically was like "oops, sorry". I was majorly pissed! He saw me there and still threw the ball...shouldn't he have been just a little more apologetic, like "Oh i'm so sorry about that, are you OK??" Now my back is KILLING me. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

OR: I actually am 9 mos pregnant myself so I think I'd be sensitive to this if he were really out of line, but you said he said "sorry." I mean, if he knocked you to the ground or something, it would be different, but I get hit by balls all the time (have a ds and a husband and a basketball hoop in the driveway) and it doesn't hurt that much. It's sort-of the cost of hanging on the playground IMO. [ Reply | More

the big deal is i was getting my toddler and he shot the basket anyway. what if he hit dd? she would have been really hurt and cried and our ruined would be basically ruined. and he should have been a little more sorry. [ Reply | More

YOu sound like an overreactor, to be honest. Basketballs are not rocks. If your dd would have been "really hurt" and your day ruined by her getting hit by a ball, that sounds sort-of . . . I don't know, like maybe you all need to grow a pair. [ Reply | More
