DD is 4 months old. She was sleeping through the night and now she isn't. Waking up 2 or 3 times. Any ideas? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Mine had a total sleep regression around 4.5mo. Not sure if was due to teething or what, but I know a lot of others who went through the same thing. That was when I started reading Weissbluth and prepping for sleep training. [ Reply | More ]

I was considering that...I teach school and am out for the summer. I want dd to be sleeping through the night by the time august rolls around. [ Reply | More ]

do you give her the breast or bottle? If so, do not give to her when she wakes (since you know she can make it through the night). Put water in the bottle and give that to her. Soon she won't wake because it won't be worth it. [ Reply | More ]

Breastmilk in bottle...what if she is crying...let her CIO? I have a very difficult time with that. [ Reply | More ]

Ride it out for a month or so more and then sleep train. I did Ferber. Read a couple of the books and figure out what works best for your db and you and dh. But right now she might be having a growth spurt and need the extra feedings at ngiht. I think most of the "experts" don't recommend sleep training until around 6 mos old. Up until then you unfortunately follow their lead but just try to set up good habits. [ Reply | More ]

That is what my friends have told me...wait until 6 months. She goes down for the night very early so she is up early and wakes up a couple of times. I am dying!! [ Reply | More ]
