I'm actually a member of the Staten Island Zoo (which gets me into the Turtleback Zoo for free), and I much prefer the Turtleback Zoo. If OP wants to make a day trip to Staten Island, the Zoo and the SICM would be a great combo (although a long day for a 2yo). [ Reply | More

for a 2yo, it is great. They have a new exhibit on the 3rd floor called "Construction" that is so much fun for the kids. And w/ the nice weather, the boat playground is open, and you can run around the botanical gardens. It's a great day trip, IMO. [ Reply | More
