My dad (70) is spending the morning gathering all our family's ancestral records and genaeological information into one spot. He gave me a type-written memoir from my great-grandmother (born 1882), written in 1965. It's fascinating, talking about growing up on a Minnesota farm, how Indians used to wander in and out of her grandmother's kitchen to look at her red hair. Get your parents and grandparents to write their memoirs, even something short, while they still can. It's so precious. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
