How young would you wax your dd's eyebrows? like just the unibrow part in between, not a major shaping or anything? Be serious, please. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

of course. I would never say anything and she is beautiful. I just get the urge to clean it up every time I look at it! [ Reply | More ]

i hear you. i would likely feel the same. but contain that urge, woman. you don't want her to develop a complex. life's hard enough ;-) [ Reply | More ]

Has she mentioned it to you? If not, no reason to make her self conscious about something that she isn't already self conscious about. [ Reply | More ]

no. I would never say anything! I doubt anyone else has either. it's not noticeable under her bangs anyway. [ Reply | More ]

if it's an intense uni, I'd probably give it a wax around 8...before she gets teased about it. [ Reply | More ]

middle school - maybe 7th grade? Would probably let her get it waxed once and then show her how to tweeze to keep it groomed. [ Reply | More ]

i would do it before then. i had upper lip hair and wish my mom had nipped that in the bud for me as soon as it showed up, which was like 5th grade? a wax doesn't hurt much and just because dd isn't talking about it doesn't mean she's not embarrassed. [ Reply | More ]

based on these responses and how I was when I was little I would want to know if the child was into grooming, make up hair etc. If so make it soemthing you both do and teach her how to do it herself (tweezing in between). I was into makeup early and as long as it was approached right it would have been fine. I think 6th grade is too late. [ Reply | More ]

I would get rid of a unibrow ASAP when she got it. I had one and I was so so miserable. Never thought to even get rid of it when I was young [ Reply | More ]

i don't know but good friend has a 2 yo with a mean unibrow. i'd consider waxing it, but the little girl is blond with a dark obvious unibrow. it looks bad. [ Reply | More ]

Honestly, I would just wax it and not even talk about it/mention it, just make it a natural part of her grooming, like washing her hair. [ Reply | More ]

only when she mentions she has an issue with it. then only tweeze until she's at least in junior high. unless she decides on her own that she really wants it waxed. [ Reply | More ]

ugh - my 18 mo is starting to get one... that said, she is really beautiful and it suits her somehow... i had a mustache and shockingly no unibrow - was teased a lot. Mom showed me waxing around 5th grade... seems so young to me now... [ Reply | More ]

Never, that is her decision when she is older. FWIW, I have unibrow and plucking works just fine. [ Reply | More ]
