Another Disney question: Is it worth it to stay in the Disney resorts? Traveling with dh, 2 dcs and mom. We can get a 2BR suite at a non-Disney property for 1/3 the price, but then we need to rent a car, fewer amenities for kids, not the same "experience." WWYD? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you will also need to pay for parking, gas, rental car which isn't that cheap these days. stay at the resort-you will save time too. i guess it depends on your budget overall, but staying on resort is good-try to stya somewhere close to park where you will spend most time [ Reply | More ]

We stay at the Buena Vista Palace (name may have changed a bit but it's similar) and we take a shuttle bus to the parks. [ Reply | More ]

stay at bonnet creek -- it's on disney property but not owned by disney -- it's a wyndham resort -- very kid friendly and you can get a suite with 2 or 3 rooms for a really good price and they have shuttles to the park. also, sprinkler park, playgrounds, ice cream socials, an arts and crafts for the kids, etc... I stayed off property and LOVED it. You have the car, you go to grocery store for snacks and sandwiches, you are free to eat supper whereever you want and most likely save money because you are NOT on property. I would never stay on property. [ Reply | More ]
