DH and I are struggling financially. He is at a bachelor party this weekend and I just looked into the account. He has spent $700! I am so furious... dont even come at me with what is he spending it on because wether it is a lapdance or a donation to a local church it is money we can't spend!!! I just transferred the balance into savings so he cat touch it. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

sometimes you get roped into paying for things at these parties and don't have much of a choice - if they went out for a great dinner and he had to pay for the groom to be too, that gets pricey [ Reply | More ]

We can't afford this though. We discussed this and he went down with $300... I know they get pricey, but he promised to keep it within limits. [ Reply | More ]

Obviously DH is drunk and spending freely, why would you even let DH go to something like this to begin with? Nothing but trouble and there you sit worrying what he is doing. Not good at all. [ Reply | More ]

Well you just go ahead and keep those blinders on honey bc eaither your DH is a "jerk off behind your back to some porno type or he will cheat first chance he gets like at a party type of guy. [ Reply | More ]

LOL! Are you 12? If a person wants to cheat they don't need a bachelor party or porn to do it. You sound very immature and insecure. As for my DH, he rarely goes to any parties and we usually watch porn together. If I'm not in the mood he watches by himself and usually mentions it to me. I don't have a problem with either one. Keep telling myself what? That DH and I watch porn together, that he watches it alone, that he rarely goes to parties? All facts. That if a person wants to cheat they will and there is no way for you to control that? Also fact. Anything else, dear? [ Reply | More ]

I feel so sorry that you are unsure about your relationship w/DH. Maybe if you wore some makeup or something instead of trying to be that ugly Disney mom it may help. Get a grip dear. [ Reply | More ]

He didn't have a choice. Don't make too big of a deal out of it. Just say WOW. And then work together to tighten up for the next couple of weeks (no lunch out, skip starbucks etc) to compensate. Things happen [ Reply | More ]

I"m not OP, and there's no such thing as "the male culture," dear. My DH would never disrespect me and his family by blowing $$ we didn't have at a bachelor party. He's not 25 and I don't expect him to act that way. You sound like a real victim and so does your dh. [ Reply | More ]

I didn't say his age - I was responding to OR"s claim that a grown man (whatever age you think would be) had a choice in how he spent his money and his time. You can infer from OP's post that she thinks her dh is not acting his age. [ Reply | More ]

The more you talk, the more apparent it becomes that you have anger isssues. We don't all have to live like you. There is nothing wrong with a bachelor party (or bachlorette). Simply because you and your dh don't enjoy them, doesn't make them bad. Open up your world and little and understand, we all live differently. We all celebrate differently. Its not "your way" or wrong. [ Reply | More ]

Boy, you really can't follow can you. OP is upset and I'm saying that I would be upset too. I never said they were "bad," but I agreed w/ OP that HIS SPENDING MONEY THEY DIDN'T HAVE was irresponsible. [ Reply | More ]

Wait, he is still at the party? You haven't talked to him? Maybe, just maybe he put something on credit card and the other guys paid him in cash and he is still within the budget. Why would you make it so he doesn't have access to money? Or causes you to get bank overdraft charges unknowingly? This seems really stupid on your part to me. [ Reply | More ]
