Help! Invited to a pretty big, family-friendly dinner party in a fancy schmancy apt. What do we bring? They have tons of wine already. And I imagine they "have it all." Host's DC is 4yo. TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Whatever you bring won't be used that night, so just bring wine or candles [ Reply | More ]

How about something nice from Williams Sonoma, maybe really good olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I once went to a very big barbeque party and brought dry rubs from WS and they called weeks later to say how much they loved it. [ Reply | More ]

Okay then, WS usually also has these cute summer treat making things that the kids would enjoy. Like those tubberware kind of things you'd put juice in and place in the freezer for icies. They are usually in fun shapes like rockets. They had last year these icecream cookie making things. [ Reply | More ]

Maybe there is something not too expensive at Charlotte Moss. She is a very UES decorator with a store on the UES? I love Martine's Chocolates at Bloomingdales. I've gotten cookies from Payard. I am not sure if they taste good but I thought they seemed high maintenance. [ Reply | More ]
