having friends over for dinner with dcs--this is about the 5th or 6th time. I have never seen their house. I feel like I am always the entertainer...have a big holiday party every year and 1 summer party. I never seem to be asked anywhere. Ds had a playdate today--his parents have been to our place for dinners/parties--except for playdate drop offs, I have never been to their house--- tonight they are going out to dinner "with a bunch of friends" [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Or maybe start asking people if they'd like to go out to dinner with you. At least you wouldn't feel like you were hosting. [ Reply | More ]

I can understand how you feel. My parents are in that position actually--always hosting and everyone is so happy to attend. I think that you have to take people off your list if you don't get some kind of reciprication within 2 years [ Reply | More ]
