My dc and I will have a cup of tea together. We've been doing that since dc was about 3. On birthday morning and Christmas morning dc gets to have a cup of coffee with mom and dad, but its 9 parts milk to one part coffee :) [ Reply | More ]

I think mostly diluted is fine but I do think it is a slippery slope. I once pulled into a Starbucks in NJ while travelling and a mom was in there w/ three teenage daughters - all of whom said they couldn't wake up w/o their cup of Joe and that is a habit I wouldn't want my teens to have. Moderation, as always. [ Reply | More ]

I don't give my 12 year old caffeinated drinks, with the exception of an occasional sip of iced tea (not on a school night). [ Reply | More ]

Caffeine is acceptable after puberty....around age 15. Caffeine-free tea is fine at any age. I put chamomille tea in my baby's bottle at night to help her sleep. [ Reply | More ]

DC loves coffee and sneaks sips once in a while. I try not to make a big deal of it, but I wouldn't give DC an entire cup at a time. We give herbal tea sometimes. [ Reply | More ]
