If it is medically necessary. Since that is almost never the case I am against as a routine procedure. Certainly the patient doesn't have a say. However if the parents elect to have a similar body parts removed from themselves, under the same conditions, and do it prior to their son's circ'ing, then i'd think about it. I'd probably still be against it, even so. -Lack of informed consent is still a major sticking point for me. [ Reply | More ]

Not since I found out that circ became popular in America in the 1950s as a way to control masturbation. So unless for religious reasons, no way would I buy into this. [ Reply | More ]

I dated all men who were, my husband is not. Circumsion is a barberic ritual. There is no medical reason to support it, it can cause problems, it doesn't cure anything. It can cause the penis to be angled when erect if not done right. If you maintain the most basic minimal level of hygenie, there are no health problems with an uncircumsized penis. [ Reply | More ]
