My dh is a bit over 50. His older brother was killed in Vietnam in 1966. DH found a posting on the virtual Vietnam Memorial from an attorney in the southwest who says that dh's brother saved his life and that he was a medic and was with dh's brother when he died. He found him and they have e mailed. Dh has been invited to call and hear the story of how his brother died. This is risky and very emotional. We named our last ds after this uncle and never thought we would learn the story of what actually happenned. Would you make the call? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I don't think there would be any harm in making a call. A visit might be a little scarier. But I would also tape the call so your kids can listen to the call when they get older and your DS who is his namesake can know how special his uncle was... [ Reply | More
