Anyone have a history of severe depression and went off of meds during pregnancy? I feel like I am literally in hell. I think going off of them was a big mostake... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

me... i had to white knuckle it through my entire pregnancy. the second i stopped nursing at 2 months, i got right back on. if i were to get PG another time, i wouldn't nurse at all because i would want to get ahead of the PPD that came along... [ Reply | More

Check out: www.womensmentalhealth.org I saw a psychiatrist at Mass General in Boston who specializes in this topic. I stayed on my meds and am now 3 wks pp and have not had any issues in 10 months. [ Reply | More

I'm bipolar 2 (mostly depression, limited mania) and I went off meds a year before we started trying. it was rougher when we were trying, but pregnancy has been ok. no meds but have considered light therapy if things got bad. now at high risk for PPD and freaked out. [ Reply | More
