Anyone else that has/had a difficult newborn? I need some new coping ideas b/c I'm starting to lose it a bit. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i had an 8 hour a day colicky baby. you can let them cry for a bit, or just give them the boob. try going on a walk. try a pacifier, get some help. wear ear plugs, try to relax your body, try giving the baby a bath, or just put the baby in a bassinet and stand outside for a while. [ Reply | More

op: he's 9 weeks. The thing is, my first was like this too and I know it gets better (at least it did with #1). But having a difficult newborn with another kid is really trying my patience--- [ Reply | More

It's hard, I know. I had the tough newborn, and now she is 2 and I have a 4 months old. I'd recommend spending a lot of time with baby in the stroller or car, just getting out. Mine usually stop whining when we are in motion [ Reply | More

try to get a sitter for an hour or two when you can - my dd would not take a bottle or a binky and cried constantly for me - but if I had had some help to relieve me it would have helped a lot. I would literally go from bjorn to sling to car to arms to bjorn to car to sling, etc. [ Reply | More
