Just decided after agonizing for a week to put DS in daycare. I LOVE his nanny, she has been amazing, but its going to be more affordable to have him in daycare not to mention better for his socialization. Now how do I tell her and when??? Daycare doesn [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I did this, but daycare started in Jan. It depends on your relationship...if you think she'll take it okay, then tell her early. If you want to ensure she doesn't leave you in a lurch, I'd tell her 2-3 weeks before your ds starts. [ Reply | More

I wouldn' tell her straight away but I would try to give her a couple of months notice so she can find a new job. Be prepared for her to leave at short notice once you have told her. As for what to say maybe just tell her what you put here that you want you dc to spend more time with other children etc. [ Reply | More
