WDYT? I live in an Abbott district. Basically it means that we live in a district that is considered poor so the state provides free public preschool. I know many people who enroll their children in the preschools, even though they wouldn't be considered poor. I started looking into regular preschools and it's really expensive. Anywhere from $7000 to $12000. This is more than we can afford! We are not poor, so I had a real problem with taking someone's spot in the Abbott school who really needs it. Now I guess i understand why people do it, there are no affordable preschools in this city. I hope to move before DD needs to go, but in case we don't I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
