Not everyone is lucky enough to get a spot in public preK and would have to then pay for private preschool or keep dc at home. [ Reply | More ]

exactly. That is what I meant. Not everyone who applies to public prek even considers sending a child to private preschool so the assumption that there is money left on the table is a faulty one. [ Reply | More ]

It's based on general life experience though. Many women work and cannot stay at home with dc until K. And in our society now it's common to send dc to preschool. [ Reply | More ]
