13 hour road trip mom: do you think it would be unsafe to seat 13mo DD in a forward facing seat? am thinking she'll be a lot better on the car facing forward and able to see us etc... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I wouldn't. Let's say you got into an accident and she got hurt but wouldn't have if you faced her facing the rear instead of the front. If you could live with yourself then do it, but I would always blame myself. We have a 6 hour ride and 14 month old is still around 19 lbs and she is rear facing. Don't mess with your toddler's safety. [ Reply | More ]

especially not since you're going to be in the car for such a long time (higher likelihood of something happening) [ Reply | More ]
