I think you might need some color. I wore a black cocktail dress to a wedding with a necklace that was bigger than what I usually wear and red. It looked really nice. Play around with that idea and see what you think [ Reply | More

LOL! I don't know if you have a store called Dillards where you live, but they have fantastic jewelry cheap. That's where I get that kind of thing. The one I got had big red glass beads on a black chain. I think it cost about$12. Just look at dept stores and Ann Taylor etc. Most of them have costume stuff that looks decent. You could go with another color too. Also, bring the dress with you and ask the sales people for help. Have fun. I'm sure you will look fab [ Reply | More

I keep seeing ads for Dillard's in magazines but there aren't any around here (NJ). I will take the dress w/ me and go to the mall, it's ridiculous that a 37 yr old cannot dress herself!
