OR you are right. It looks different. If all the people who deserted had stayed, it would be back to normal by now. But, they left and it does feel different. I don't think that is bad though. LOL! This cracks me up. If they were that "important" (and seriously - how important could a UB post be?) you should have printed them out. You never know when a website will shut down or their server will crash etc. Back things up if you need them so bad. [ Reply | More

Hmmmm, let me guess that you work for UB? Anyway, some of us had info on the Special Needs boards or frankly, anywhere. We watch posts. We take the time to post and watch post and answer other's posts. Just because you are here merely for fun doesn't mean that others here aren't looking for actual info on important parenting issues. And they did not "shut down or crash". They CHOSE to just alienate their customers by not announcing any of this and giving us the opportunity to do it. How many companies have failed simply because they didn't listen to their customers? It was a huge mistake on their part, no questions asked. [ Reply | More

ok you are right. I did not think about the SN boards. But, my point still stands. you should print out and save anything you want to keep. Anyone who has ever been on a computer for very long knows that the first rule is back up your data! ANd as far as not announcing it - there were notices for weeks about big changes coming soon. I really don't see the big deal. It's fine. It's not hard to use once you get used to how it works. I like it better now. Sorry you lost important info but that's the way it goes sometimes. Of course I realize that anything may be lost and it's important to back it up. And not doing so was my fault. But UB was still incredibly wrong to just wipe away watched posts, without a specific warning. No one would have thought that a possibility, because no one with business experience would have done that themselves. And I've tried searching, but it's kind of hard to search a basic search term on the Toddler board, which has over 4 million posts. I've tried and my stuff isn't being retrieved. And on SN's boards, many of the search terms are the same, but the posts differ in many ways. To waste my time like this and the time of other posters, is just mindless. All I'm saying. well sure but I guess I just assume that anything can be wiped away at any time. I belong to a website for people who have lost children. They did the same thing and all my posts that were kind of like my diary of the early days got wiped away. My fault for not printing them out so I learned my lesson. Again, I'm sorry you lost info. Maybe you can ask the questions again and retrieve soem of it. Or maybe you can contact the site and see if they can let you search by date or soemthing. Overall though, I think the new site is fine.
