Please help me plan first plane trip with newborn. At what age did you get on a plane with DB, and did you have any issues? Thx [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

we first flew with my ds at 1 mo and it was the easiest flight - he just ate and slept the whole time. If you're lucky enough to have an empty seat near you (you can ask at the gate), you can bring car seat on - otherwise, I just held db the whole time [ Reply | More ]

so much easier to travel with newborn. with both my kids, got on planes at 3 mos or so. only time we had issues was when kids were learning to walk and I had weaned them-they did not want to sit in seats. but take car seat, stroller, extra diapers, extra clothes, formula or plan on bf. very easy [ Reply | More ]

5 months. Nurse or bottle feed on take off and landing, pack and extra outfit for db and an extra shirt for you in case of blowout/spit up. We always bought a seat and db would sleep in carseat most of the trip. I'd bring a few light toys like a scarf to play peekaboo. Gate check stroller. It was fine. [ Reply | More ]

5 months and she cried for three hours from being overtired. Just throwing it out there b/c people are always saying "it's so easy before they walk... just wait until you have an active toddler like me." It was still okay though. [ Reply | More ]

the earlier, the easier. 6 to 8 wks at least is rec'd but i know people who have done it earlier. it's so easy w newborns...they just sit lie on your lap and sleep and eat. [ Reply | More ]
