Our marriage is just fine and we are happy. Not everyone needs to leave town to have a solid marriage. And db goes to bed at 6:30 pm. We get plenty of alone time. [ Reply | More

np: I think OP means you need alone time. So you have your alone time after 6:30 pm...so do we but I won't deny that a weekend away from our 2 kids is something I would love to be able to do. You just need more than a few hrs a night together [ Reply | More

it was fine. I did call my mom like 3 times that day but I was just a bit nervous. I do trust my mom 100% so that was not an issue for me. My dd did fine. She was used to my mom (they live close by) so it was easy. Her schedule was not thrown off. My mom went according to the schedule I left her. She really didn't try to do things her way (which really made it easier on me) [ Reply | More

^^I got to admit, on the way home I was anxious and teary. I couldnt' wait to see dd. I'm leaving her today again (she's 8yr now) and her sis (4yr) so dh and I can take a weekend before #3 comes.
