Help! Mean new boss. How do I respond when my boss blames me? i.e. You're making me look bad by having a computer that's slow. You're making me look bad by giving me the wrong #s (I told him I never gave him those numbers). I've tried saying it's not my fault but then he just finds another to blame me. Recognize that you can't possibly please some people - there are some people who will find fault in anyone - they just do it out of insecurity and to make themselves feel more powerful. work around him... by now everyone know he is an ass and you need to get your name in good standing with others in higher places so resolve any issue with the higher powers and just let him know the good news. don't ask for his opinion, don't ask him for ideas, advice etc. just show you can do it all and well, also when you do something good, make sure you tell him that when you shine he shines, that way he will not get jealousand sabotage your efforts.
