All you women are afraid to leave kids with DH for 2 weeks? What kind of morons did you marry? Or is it that you "took over" child duties and are stuck with time? Or maybe you all need to feel like they couldn't do it without you. Don't get it [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i posted there. i wouldn't leave dcs with dh for two weeks. unless he arranged for a lot of help. i think it depends on the age of the kid and the schedule. i also think that op was more worried about her trip than about leaving her dc. [ Reply | More

op of the earlier post: I'm more worried about dd...she's closer to me than dh..I'm more tuned into her. I just worry that she'll miss me a lot and dh won't know how to handle it. she'll be fine. two weeks is nothing. if you were sending her to a foreign country for two weeks, i'd be worried about her being homesick. but she'll be in her own environment. also, sorry if this sounds harsh, but part of parenting is learning that it's not always going to be you to be there for your children.
