I just started to trying to meditate and I constantly remind myself all day long to breathe and get back into the moment, but it is seriously a constant struggle. [ Reply | More ]

commit yourself to five minutes a day of sitting meditation -- just sit quietly, focus on your breath, pay attention to your thoughts but don't get carried away with them, come back to your breath if you notice you've wandered -- and see if that helps. [ Reply | More ]

if you are really suffering from anxiety, you make time. i've tried every med and tons of therapy and this is the only thing that doesn't make me a zombie and has a real impact on the anxiety. but i have panic disorder so if i just had generalized anxiety i might not find it worthwhile. i dont know [ Reply | More ]

OP: I know you are trying to help, but when people say "you just make time", it is really insensitive. I am a SAHM, cannot afford help, dh works long hours, I use evenings and weekends for family stuff, errands, household stuff, etc. AND I do get to the Gym twice weekly. where can I make time, honestly. please tell me? NP: I agree, OP. I work full-time so to "make time" for 2 hours of exercise a day, I'd either have to quit my job or never see my kids or give up sleeping. [ Reply | More ]

i work out from 10pm until midnight. sometimes later. i don't want to, but i know that i'll sleep solidly and not wake up with panic attacks. i have to do it, so i do. [ Reply | More ]
