What constitutes vomiting for a 3mo? DD took a bottle at 3:30pm (formula) and over the course of the past 1.5hrs, I think she's spit up about half the bottle. First dd was not a spitter-upper at all and didn't get sick until about 12mos for her first time. Also, ebf'd.Could my little one be sick? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

(I am sorry you have to defend giving formula...). I think at that age, big burps can bring it all up. Spitting up is more like a liquid burp, and vomiting has that heaving quality. My older DD spit up ALL the time and my younder one pretty much never did. GL and congrats on the new baby! [ Reply | More

Thanks for responding. It is sad I have to defend the whole formula thing but I get asked 'why' all the time. Did your dd's spit up look a bit cottage-cheesy? Does this make sense? This is what dd's looks like if she spits up about 30+ minutes after feeding. Not huge chunks, but not smooth either. Gross to be explaining this. TIa. [ Reply | More
