we moved from bklyn to manhattan when ds started at a manhattan private. (not the only reason we moved) #2 will be applying to preschool this fall and obviously we aren't going to commute to bklyn where older dc went to preschool. do you think the fact that dc #1 is at a desirable ongoing will help us? I don't think it makes a big difference either way. You will apply to a few schools in your area, you will get accepted to all, some or none. If none, there are plenty of alternative preschool programs out there. [ Reply | More

it will help you get into the same ongoing which is the only reason to try to get into a "desirable" preschool. preschool is just daycare with leverage [ Reply | More

My dd's preschool wasn't like day care. Her teachers had masters degrees and the open ended materials were better for her than the plastic toys in her cousins day care. She learned to express herself and to listen. It was amazing. [ Reply | More

yes, it will help you get into preschool - the preschools will be happy to know that your child has an older sibling at a good ongoing - makes their job a little easier at the end of the day [ Reply | More
