When is it generally OK to take down a top-of-stairs gate? I have a 2yo who can go up and down--my worry is that she'll somehow fall down when she's running around. There's no carpet on the stairs. We just painted and DH doesn't want to bother the PIA install again. I'd just put a pressure gate in the hall, but I can't block my older dd from getting to the bathroom quickly. I would keep it up still. My concern was when they are sleeping and if they should wake up and wander in the night, then they could possibly fall. One night I found our toddler wandering, and I had been asleep, did not hear her get up [ Reply | More ]
