When is it generally OK to take down a top-of-stairs gate? I have a 2yo who can go up and down--my worry is that she'll somehow fall down when she's running around. There's no carpet on the stairs. We just painted and DH doesn't want to bother the PIA install again. I'd just put a pressure gate in the hall, but I can't block my older dd from getting to the bathroom quickly.
