I think the DNC should stick to the rules it made. If they don't, how are they going to enforce anything ever again? [ Reply | More ]

ITA, if they don't forget any control they ever had. [ Reply | More ]

No, they should not. It was decided they would be penalized and that's how it should stay. You don't revise the rules only to help another candidate, one who was ADAMANT they shouldn't count in the beginning, way back when she thought she would have it locked up. [ Reply | More ]

which one was it that actually only had Hillary on the ballot? I'm thinking mich. That one especially cannot be counted at all. I could almost see a compromise of 1/2 the delegates from Fla though [ Reply | More ]

I guess, except why exactly are they going to consider counting them at all? I don't have a problem with Mich and FL voting early, I couldn't care less, but since the DNC decided it would not count, then how come it's now being reconsidered? THAT is my problem with it. [ Reply | More ]

ITA with you but Seems like it would be a better argument for Fla than for Mich. No way they can count those unless they are going to seat a "none of the above" delegation! And I agree that they should stick to the rules everyone agreed to [ Reply | More ]

They should have done what GOP did, cut them in half (which is likely compromise to come out on Sat) but let everyone campaign there. They did not, which made everything really unfair. FL is a lost cause in any case but it could cause dems MI in November. [ Reply | More ]

My guess after this fiasco the Democratic party will do winner take all on the delegates [ Reply | More ]

It's the states that decide I think. I know Hillary would love to get rid of the caucuses too but I don't know that DNC can make a call on that. [ Reply | More ]

np so if someone wants to follow rules set up by the parties themselves and bot cheat, she is automatically for Obama? Interesting way of thinking you have there [ Reply | More ]

Hey, call me what you want (and nice veiled nigger-lover reference) but I would say the same thing if Obama wanted the votes counted [ Reply | More ]

np you know, some of us like to follow rules even if that means the outcome is not what we really want. Some people are sensible that way [ Reply | More ]

all of those voters should not be penalized by rules that were screwed up by the party .. their voice should count too! [ Reply | More ]

Rules were not screwed up by the party, they were screwed by the states. The individual states' parties decided they would hold the primaries early, screw the national party, and the national party responded with telling them that's not how it's done and their votes wouldn't count. [ Reply | More ]

so how would you count Michigan who's ballots had only Hillary on it? There was no opportunity to vote for anyone else. And if I am not mistaken even John Edwards was still running at that point. How would you figure all that out? [ Reply | More ]

Yes, but a number of them did not vote since they were told it would not count or their candidate was not even on the ballot. How can you call that a fair election? [ Reply | More ]

i don't care. McCain is going to beat either one of them anyway. The country wants divided government. Bad things happen when either party controls both houses plus the executive. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think McCain has this locked up at all. I think that what might ACTUALLY happen is that things might really get done, with a majority in power in the House and Senate, and a same-party President [ Reply | More ]

things would get done, but that's the problem the country is so divided that anything they DO succeed in passing will trigger a backlash. Happened to the Pubes in their brief period of total control, and will happen to the Dems as well. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think McCain is going to win. I usually vote rep and I can't stand him. I think many many people feel the way I do and will either sit it out or vote libertarian. Bob Barr is their nominee and I am seriously considering voting for him. Sick ro death of all of them at this point [ Reply | More ]

That's absurd. Nothing will get done if there is GOP president with big dem majority, and so much needs to get done. All that will happen is we'll get a couple more conservatives on Supreme court and they'll be there for decades. [ Reply | More ]
