I had a c-section, fwiw. But honestly, while I was bleeding even slightly I really did not want to go near a pool. Think about it: You can't wear a tampon. Gross. [ Reply | More ]

Tapered off pretty quickly, but I was wearing a panty shield for the full six weeks or so, if I remember right. Would NOT have wanted to risk a swimsuit. [ Reply | More ]

not to be gross, but the real concern is that you can't wear a tampon so will i actually be able to go into the water without any protection at 2 weeks? [ Reply | More ]

Seriously unlikely. You'd be better off resigning yourself to wearing shorts and dangling your legs in the water. [ Reply | More ]

You're really not going to want to wear a bathing suit at that point regardless of how much you're bleeding. You will look AWFUL in a bathing suit until your uterus shrinks back at the very least. [ Reply | More ]

its really going to depend when you stop bleeding (when your cervix closes). at least 6 weeks to be safe [ Reply | More ]
