honestly, we're in a pretty corporate environment and yes, jimmy implies a note a familiarity that we don't have. It won't inhibit him, just comes across as awkward. [ Reply | More ]

Actually, it matters a great deal. There have been dozens of studies about the impact of an individual's name on his success, particularly pertaining to jobs. This is why people with stereotypically "ethnic" names are often at a disadvantage. And why searching for "trendy" names is a joke and harms your child. [ Reply | More ]
