Do kids need to prove they were immunized with the MMR vaccine when starting school? Debating on giving my dd one...wondering what the cons are (besides the obvious) [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

The cons are that the MMR is required by most colleges and grad schools as well as public schools. While a public school pretty much has to accept a student whose parents chose not to immunize, private colleges and universities don't have the same obligation. So you could be putting your child in a situation where they have to get the immunization as an adult if they want to attend the college of their choice, live in the dorms, etc. [ Reply | More ]
