my 6 week old dd has terrible baby acne. I know it doesnt bother her but it really upsets me. anything I can do to help it clear it up? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it is not a sign to anybody that you are not taking care of her or that she is dirty or greasy, if that's your underlying worry. lots of babies get this -- it is NORMAL -- and it will go away on its own [ Reply | More

op - oh I know. I just hate the way it looks. she had the prettiest skin and now she is all bumpy and red. (of course I still think she is gorgeous but I have so many visitors who havent seen her yet and it makes me sad) [ Reply | More

Both of my dds had this and I totally understand. My mom told me, "It is bothering you more than it bothers the baby." She was right and it goes away. It is hormone related and transient. Have no worries, you will still love picture of your baby with the baby acne. [ Reply | More
