With the way the pre-Kadmissions thing is going, I won't be surprised if the citywide G&Ts get filled up with 97s while the 99s get no placement (or the lowest on their lists). Every new story I hear about the DOE makes me more hesitant to go public. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

honestly, the crazy ranting pre-k posters need to get over it. public pre-k is not something you should be tearing your hair and renting your garments over. it's babysitting for a couple hours a day. talk to me when six years of your kid's life are being dithered over. [ Reply | More

believe half of what you ee and none of what you hear (especially on UB). It sound as if you don't have any experience with the prek admissions yourself. If nyc public schools is your first experience with a government institution then you are most likely going to be frustrated at times. What private did you turn down for public? [ Reply | More

Then chill, or this parenting school thing is going to be a very, very long road for you. We have a child in a general ed zoned nyc public and are thrilled. And you know what, I don't even hate the DOE. I can see that some of the changes have been for the better and am pleased they keep trying. [ Reply | More
