any advice from wohms? i am thinking of not using a nanny next school year and instead taking dc (2yo) to a drop off place near me. my options are a babysitter who takes all ages and is in a great location or a playgroup for 2yo's (more structured day) that is not in as good a location. the playgroup is less expensive but the babysitter is more flexible (i can pick up when i finish work. the playgroup ends later so i'd either take dd home early on a regular basis or maybe extend my work day). any thoughts? tia. babysitter. Having someone with flexibility takes so much of the pressure off when you are a wohm [ Reply | More ]

thanks. i love the idea of a group structured for that age but i think the flexibility might be really helpful. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think group structure is too important for 2yos. There will be other kids to play with at the babysitter's though, right. That is important. [ Reply | More ]

that's true. either way, it'll be more kids to play with than a nanny [ Reply | More ]
