no tolerance... consequence is a warning and then a loss of something. In the grand scheme- not a huge deal but in first grade equal to telling someone to F off. [ Reply | More

0 tolerance policy. time out until they can apologize...if they do it again after apologizing, they lose something fun. acting that way is social suicide, and just mean, and i think you need to nip it in the bud [ Reply | More

No tolerance but I'll make believe I didn't hear if it was a learned kind of passing thing sometimes. If he is being aggressive about it -- I will call him an asshole until he stops. OK maybe not. He is 5.5yo. Telling him it is not ok and making him apologise to whoever he said it about seems enough. [ Reply | More
