any advice? my 6mo has only been taking a bottle for a little over a month now, and not very well but i'm back to work. i started him on solids over a month ago and he eats rice cereal, apple, banana, sweet potato and peas. i'm told by my nanny that he won't take the bottle and straightens his whole body out like he has gas and if he poops then he will take the bottle but if he doesn't, that day he has problems. any suggestions? is he constipated? my dd gets pretty bound up from the rice cereal. we switched to barley and it was much better. sometimes i add a tsp of prunes in it. however, don't use more than that or you'll be going through about 8 outfit changes per day! [ Reply | More

he used to poop every day, now it is every 3 days which i don't think is necessarily bad, but i guess if he's acting like this maybe he is. i will try the other type of cereal. is prune juice ok for a 6 mo? [ Reply | More

does he get any liquids? he needs to take a bottle. have you tried a quicker flow nipple? my ds went thru a phase of this because he was frustrated with the slow flow [ Reply | More

yes, he has the quick flow. he has no problems with gas when he's nursing so i never see this. i am only told about this b/c it happens with a bottle. would you try changing the bottle? i use the adiri nursing bottles. [ Reply | More
