My ds is 2yo and 2mo. He recently learned to climb out of his crib and naptime is now a disaster. I put a lock on his door but he immediately climbs out of his crib and just plays his bedroom. Today, I had to rock him to sleep which I haven't had to do in over a year. What should I do? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

ita - we have a crib tent (ds is now 2.5, put it on at 18 mo when he started climbing out) he thinks of it as his "house". Without it we would have lost the nap a long time ago. [ Reply | More ]

if he's playing quietly in the room, just ignore. he'll either go to sleep on the floor or go to bed earlier. [ Reply | More ]

remove the lock - dangerous in case of fire. agree w/ the crib tent suggestion. H e may be dropping the nap too, though it is a bit early for that [ Reply | More ]
