I think that 99% of people are unable to handle an open relationship and it is a bad idea. If you think you and DH are both in the 1% secure enough to do it though, go for it. [ Reply | More

but that is probably almost always true. No 2 people are completely compatible about anything, much less about an open relationship! One is almost always going to do it for the other one nad then feel jealous and resentful [ Reply | More

I don't think that even a tiny fraction of people who say they'd be up for it could handle it. I'm a single person, and a pretty sexual person, and even I find non-committed sex a huge complication so I sort of can't imagine it ever not hurting the kids in some tangential way [ Reply | More
