is it reasonable to expect dh to take care of 3.5 yo & 6 mo alone for a long wkend while i go to an out of town wedding? was going to take the 3.5 yo to ILs house so he'd only have 1 dc, but the flight times don't work. wondering if it's too much for dh, though he'd not think twice about my having both kids alone. At those ages, I think dh should do it. It's not an infant and a toddler. The 6 yo can help out & everyone can play together. Go enjoy your time away - you'd do this on your own w/o even blinking! [ Reply | More

i don't know about 'reasonable', but i do think it's not easy. it depends on your 6mo and on how much hands on experience your dh has. i don't know if i'd want to leave my dh to deal with dcs for a long weekend. i don't htink i'd be thrilled if he left me either. [ Reply | More
