Is there any way to know whether a toddler is particularly smart? My almost 22 month old speaks in sentences. He will say things like, "I want to go outside.". And he counts to ten, although I don't think he knows what the numbers mean. And he knows the words for just about everything in his environment. I know it doesn't really matter at this age, I am just curious to know! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I don't know... My dd is very similar. The people at her daycare say she seems very quick and they see a lot of kids (and complain about other things about her) so I assume she seems bright to them. [ Reply | More ]

At that age you really can't tell. They all catch up to each other by 4. [ Reply | More ]
