A structured daycare is longer and starts at a younger age? I don't know... At my daycare on the UES, they have a curriculum once you turn three. They teach dd numbers, colors, have themes every month, class trips. There is a director with a degree... Some daycares are Montessori, some preschools are play-based,... it's so specific to each program. [ Reply | More

That's right. There is one on 94th on Park and one on Lex between 96th and 97th. I know two people who like the first and one who seems to like the second (but I hear mixed things on UB). [ Reply | More

Which one? DD is in the one on 64th & WestEnd Av - the Director is a mess - she's very inexperienced, can't take decisions, has no backbone. She is disliked by both teachers and parents. There's a high teacher turnover. I would have removed DD if she didn't like her current teacher & friends so much. [ Reply | More
