I posted earlier about leaving our apartment in ps 321 for a house in ps 154. Everyone said don't do it, schools are very different, etc. Anyone on with real knowledge of these two schools and how they compare? i like the size of 154 and people have told me it is all the same curriculum and teachers/parents are good at both. WDYT? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

321 has a better rep, more affluent parents = more PTA$$$ = more resources. [ Reply | More ]

depends. if you want to apply to St. Ann's for 5th grade, probably stay at 321. If you intend to stay public you could get away with 154. [ Reply | More ]

^^ really in the end what matters most if where you and your child are going to be happiest. That is my gut. I can't attest to it being the best advice. [ Reply | More ]

^^ we were lucky enough to get into The Children's School, but I looked at 321 and felt my dd would be overwhelmed by the crowded size of 321, but was still looking at it because I heard it was the best in brooklyn. Parents I know with kids there say a lot of the academic success has less to do with the school and more to do with the fact that the kids all have educated parents who read to them etc. and that the teachers like any where are hit or miss.
