There is an "Update" on the InsideSchools article on Pre-K. "Update: A DOE spokesman wrote to me to clarify concerns about the admissions process being outsourced. Parents mailed their applications to Pennsylvania for data entry, he wrote, but the actual applicant-to-program matches were made in-house at OSEPO." [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Obviously this doesn't really say anything about why several people have gotten rejections and no one has been accepted. I think there must be a problem and they're keeping mum until they figure out what to do about it. Unless they just mailed a bunch of rejection letters and haven't gotten around to mailing the acceptance letters yet. Which would just be assinine.
